Initial Discussion

In order for our working partnership to reach its full potential it is important for us to be a ‘good fit’.

Our approach is to have an initial discussion to ensure that Acadia Wealth is the right firm to meet your needs. If not, we will happily introduce you to a firm who may be a better fit.

Getting to know you

At this stage we will gather sufficient information to assess where you are now, and where you wish to be in the future. For the most part we do this by listening. We want to know what is most important to you. Only then can we design the path to take you there.

This process cannot be rushed and usually involves two meetings (in person or video conference depending on your preference). We absorb the cost of these initial meetings and they are obligation-free.

Creating a financial plan

After these initial meetings, if you are comfortable with our approach and if we believe we can add value to your situation, the next step for us is to use our expertise to develop a tailored financial plan. It will formalise our recommendations on how your needs can best be achieved and outline the actions required.

Presenting the plan

The financial plan is a ‘blueprint’ for your financial future. To ensure you fully understand our recommendations we arrange a meeting to walk you through the financial plan and explain our recommendations in “plain English”.

Making sure you’re comfortable

Our firm is built on long-term, trusted relationships. As a result, it is important to us that our clients are comfortable with our proposed service and advice before proceeding. Prior to deciding whether we should work together, you may want to consider some of the following questions:

Do I like/trust/respect the team at Acadia Wealth Advice?
Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost?
Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?
Do their recommendations make sense to me?

Getting it done

Should you agree to proceed with our plan, we take care of implementing the recommendations and getting you on track. We provide you with regular progress updates on the implementation of your plan.

A few months after proceeding with the plan we schedule a debrief meeting to provide a more detailed progress update and reconfirm the direction from here.

Regular review

A financial plan is not simply set and forget – it is an ongoing process. Your situation and the relevant legislation are almost certain to change over time. To monitor any changes, we schedule regular meetings to ensure the plan evolves to remain relevant.
